Find your code
Your child's IEP lists the instructional arrangement or setting, usually in the least-restrictive-environment section. A speech-only IEP is code 00. Most students in general-education classes with support are code 40.
Why the districts differ
The state formula gives smaller districts more per student. That's why Lackland ISD, Randolph Field ISD and the rural districts come in higher than Northside or North East for the same code.
Only at a participating school
The IEP amount applies at a participating private school or pre-K/K provider. A homeschool student with an IEP gets $2,000.
