Large campuses
Cornerstone Christian Schools reported more than 2,000 students to the federal survey. San Antonio Christian School, The Christian School at Castle Hills and New Braunfels Christian Academy each reported several hundred. All are in the state finder.
Church academies
Dozens of smaller schools run on church campuses. Many of them set elementary tuition near the award, so TEFA covers most of it.
Discounts still apply
The state's tuition guidelines require member and sibling rates to keep applying for TEFA families.

Every Christian school in our directory is tagged by denomination where the federal survey reports one.
Lutheran and Episcopal schools
San Antonio has a strong Lutheran school network (Concordia, Shepherd of the Hills, Cross Lutheran in New Braunfels and Lutheran High School), and several Episcopal day schools, including St. George, St. Luke's, St. Helena's, St. Paul's Montessori and TMI Episcopal. Most of these are in the TEFA finder. TMI Episcopal wasn't when we checked.
Classical Christian
Classical schools have grown fast north of the city. Geneva School of Boerne, Ambleside School of Boerne, The Classical School of New Braunfels and Gloria Deo Academy are all in the state finder.
High school costs more than the award
Christian high school tuition in San Antonio is often well above $10,474, and the award doesn't change by grade. Families usually cover the difference with sibling discounts, school aid and dual-credit savings. Our what's-left examples show the math.
Hybrid programs
Two- and three-day Christian hybrids such as New Life Christian Academy Hybrid are popular with homeschool families. Whether the full award or the $2,000 homeschool amount applies depends on whether the program is a participating school.
